Content Guidelines

Welcome to RateMyBuy

These content guidelines define which content is allowed in our app. By using RateMyBuy, you agree to comply with these guidelines.

1. Allowed Content

• Honest and authentic product reviews
• Constructive criticism and feedback
• Helpful tips and experiences
• Respectful expressions of opinions
• Factual discussions about posts

2. Prohibited Content

• False or misleading information
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Spam or repeated identical reviews
• Advertising or commercial content without proper disclosure
• Copyrighted content without permission
• Harassment or bullying of other users
• Content of a sexual or violent nature
• Fake reviews or paid reviews

3. Reviews

• Be honest and fair in your reviews
• Use appropriate language
• Respect other opinions
• No personal attacks on other users or companies

4. Photos and Media

• Upload only your own photos or those you have rights to
• No photos containing personal information of third parties
• No manipulated or misleading images

5. Community Behavior

• Respect other users
• No insults or personal attacks
• Constructive discussions are encouraged
• Report inappropriate content
• Do not share personal data of other users

6. Public Groups

• Public groups are visible to all users of the app
• All content posted in public groups can be viewed by any user
• Do not share personal information (addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) in public groups
• Group names and descriptions must comply with our content guidelines
• Respect the topic and purpose of each group
• Group administrators have the right to remove inappropriate content
• The same rules apply to group content as to all other content in the app

Privacy reminder: Everything you post in public groups is publicly visible. Think carefully about what information you share.

7. Profile Pictures

• Profile pictures must be appropriate and suitable for all audiences
• No depictions of violence, sexual content, or drugs
• No offensive, discriminatory, or hateful content
• No symbols of extremist, unconstitutional, or illegal organizations
• No images showing other individuals without their consent
• No use of trademarks or copyrighted images without proper authorization
• Profile pictures must not contain misleading content (e.g. false identities)
• Profile pictures are public and can be seen by any user.

We reserve the right to remove or replace profile pictures that violate these guidelines.

8. Usernames

• Usernames must not contain offensive, obscene, or discriminatory language
• No references to violence, hate, extremism, or illegal activities
• No impersonation of official roles or identities (e.g. “Admin”, “Support”, “RateMyBuy Team”)
• No use of third-party brand or company names without authorization
• No personal data such as email addresses or phone numbers in usernames
• No misleading or deceptive usernames intended to confuse other users

In case of violations, we reserve the right to change usernames, restrict accounts, or take further action.

9. Consequences

If you violate these guidelines, we may:

• Remove or edit content
• Temporarily suspend user accounts
• Permanently close user accounts
• Take legal action in severe cases

10. Reporting Violations

If you discover content that violates these guidelines, you can report it through the reporting function in the app. We carefully review all reports and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to the Guidelines

We reserve the right to change these content guidelines at any time. Important changes will be communicated to you via the app. The current version is always available in the app under settings.
